The Applied Research Center at The University of Texas at Dallas is a problem solving organization that delivers
prototypes, software, systems and engineering know-how in five core competency areas that include:
Life Sciences
Information and Data Systems
Electronics, Optics and Materials
Communications, Radar and RF Systems
Power and Energy
Each core competency is supported by a professional budget, schedule and deliverable driven technical staff,
state-of-the-art-equipment and laboratories.
The ARC staff have access to the full range of faculty and ITAR and Classified capable facilities across the
university, including a large and growing pool of graduate and undergraduate students.

This event is being hosted by the Army Aviation Association of America. The NDIA Lone Star Chapter is helping to promote this event as part of its charter of helping to connect industry and government.

Recently, I had the great pleasure of visiting Dr. Victor Fishman at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), in Richardson and was very impressed to see how much defense industry work UTD is involved with. NDIA LSC’s Joe Michels selected by AL Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey
Dr. Joe Michels, P.E, C.P.L.. managing principal at Solomon Bruce Consulting LLC, has been selected by Lt. Gov Kay Ivey, Chairperson of the Aerospace States Association and Lieutenant Governor of Alabama, to introduce the Research and Development Investment Perspective Session discussion panels at the National Aerospace Foreign Direct Investment Exposition at the Century City Hyatt Hotel in Los Angeles, California on 26 October 2015. This conference, held in Los Angeles, has over 24 states participating and over 70 foreign companies representing aerospace interests throughout the world attending. Over 400 attendees are anticipated at this first annual conference held in conjunction with the United States Department of Commerce.
