Speaker Highlight: Ben Hayes, Aviation & Aerospace Division Leader at Haskell

Our featured speaker will be Ben Hayes, Division Market Lead for Haskell’s Aviation & Aerospace Division. Ben is a self-motivated and goal-oriented leader in charge of project pursuits for Haskell’s Aviation & Aerospace Manufacturing Division. As the Division Leader, he is instrumental in driving new business and identifying the right opportunities in order to build long-term relationships with the right prospects. Ben joined the company 5 years ago after a successful Eleven-year career in the Navy as a P-8A Poseidon Weapons and Tactics Instructor Pilot. During that time, he led large teams and was key in the implementation and integration of the P-8A into the operational picture. He has vast experience of working with defense contract companies in the creation and implementation of new systems and components for military aircraft.

At Haskell, Ben is responsible for identifying and overseeing new market initiatives, developing strategic pursuit plans, maintaining current client relationships, and identifying areas for potential new client markets. He manages the proposal pursuit strategy through to project win and attends conferences, meetings and industry events. In addition, he collaborates with the in-house design and engineering teams to ensure that projects are on schedule, they meet the clients’ needs and information is being communicated effectively.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Military Operational Oceanography from the United States Naval Academy and is still active in the US Navy Reserves as an Instructor Pilot.
