Accelerating Semiconductor Manufacturing supporting defense technologies
With Ed Hendricks, Dir Bus Dev NextFlex
Manufacturing USA consists of a national network of linked manufacturing institutes. Each has a unique technological concentration but is also designed to accelerate U.S. advanced manufacturing as a whole.
NextFlex’s mission is to advance U.S. manufacturing of Flexible Hybrid Electronics (FHE). NextFlex delivers on this mission through public-private partnerships that facilitate printed flexible technology innovation and commercialization, accelerate advanced manufacturing workforce development, and promote a sustainable ecosystem for advanced manufacturing. Taking advantage of FHE’s ability to conform to organic shapes, electronic capability can now be incorporated into new and emerging consumer, medical and industrial products that, when combined with rapid advancements in data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI), enable real-time decisions and analysis.
NextFlex is participating in 4-Year DOD grant for accelerating semiconductor manufacturing supporting Defense technologies led by UT Austin/Austin Technology Incubator and the National Security Innovation Council (NSIC). Under this grant, NextFlex will provide access to advanced microelectronics prototyping and manufacturing facilities and provide manufacturing/engineering support to emerging Texas-based defense-manufacturing companies.
